Transl8 is a shortcode application program developed for non-English speaking immigrants in the United States. This application generates English translations for common words and phrases through the text message function on cell phone devices. The following information and demonstration focuses on the Spanish-speaking immigrant population currently residing in the United States. However, Transl8 is versatile and could be marketed towards other non-English speaking populations.
